The government had decided in 2005 disbanded the All-India Master of Computer Application Common Entrance Test (AIMCET). However, you may find that few MCA entrance examinations in the coming years could follow the format of the erstwhile AIECET examination. Since, the pattern of AIMCET provided balanced approach to different topics, it may inspire other MCA entrance examination to follow similar pattern in coming years. That’s the reason you find mention of AIMCET in this book.

So, the author suggests that please do not ignore the details of the pattern given on AIMCET. As the formats of the papers may change without notification, you may find practicing on every format provided in the book useful.
